Are you looking to buy some bantam eggs and try to hatch them but need the best small incubator for hatching bantam eggs? Preferably, one that doesn’t need you spending much time.

Something that you can simply “Set and FORGET” but with a high hatching rate – we talking 99% here.

Well, you’re in the right place my friend.

Best Incubator for Bantam Eggs

  • Brinsea Products Usag45C Ovation 56 Eco Automatic Egg Incubator, One Size

You should get this Brinsea Octagon ECO Auto Turn egg incubator! It works great and has improved my hatchability rate!

It also has adjustable shelves and slots that can take different egg sizes at the same time.

I recommend this product 100% and over 99% of the eggs I have used it on have hatched, all the time.

The only thing they need to improve is the cleaning method. You have to take the screws off to reach the internal part of the lid.

I recommend the Brinsea Mini ADVANCE too. It can take up to 7 large eggs so you might need 10 bantam eggs in it.

It will also turn the eggs for you and even features a reminder that tells you what day to stop turning.

You’d need to keep an eye on the water and humidity levels, and that’s not hard to do at all.

14 out of 14 chicks! This is a fantastic incubator. It is easy to use but I bought an hygrometer with it.

My only complaint is that when chicks started hatching, humidity level started climbing a lot even with the 1 vent all the way open. Would like to see more vents so I don’t have to lift dome to lower humidity level. But overall, definitely recommend

Brinsea is the next thing to a broody hen. With this at hand, you can control the temperature, humidity and egg turning plus periodic cool downs.

I am so happy with it, I bought a second one.

Remember this when worrying about the price- you get what you pay for.

What Temperature Do You Incubate Bantam Eggs?

You need to keep your bantam eggs at 99.5 degrees at all times; just one degree higher or lower for a few hours can terminate the embryo.

As for humidity, keep it at 40-50% for the first 18 days; 65 to 75 percent humidity is needed for the final days before hatching.

How To Incubate Bantam Eggs

  • Keep the egg temperature at 99.5 degrees at all times; just one degree higher or lower for a few hours can terminate the embryo.
  • Humidity should be kept and maintained at 40 to 50 percent humidity for the first 18 days; 65 to 75 percent humidity is needed for the final days before hatching.
  • Your incubators need to have vents that allow fresh air to circulate so the fetuses can breathe.
  • Draw an “X” on one side of the egg and a “V” on the other side. That way, you can keep track of which eggs have been turned.
  • You should gently turn the eggs over at least 3 times a day. The more frequent turning, the better, but the number of turns per day should be odd (3,4,7,11 etc.).
  • By doing it this way, the eggs never rest on the same side for two straight nights.
  • Experts also recommend alternating the direction of turning each time – the goal is to vary the position of the embryo as much as possible.
  • Continue turning until day 18, but then leave the eggs alone for the last few days.
