Polaris Quattro Sport Review – My pool was 90-95% clean in 40 minutes. It does a much better job than my former 380. It does clean much faster since it never leaves the pool surface (and does not have a back up valve like the 3 wheel Polaris cleaners). Its been running for an hour and a half now and theres hardly any leaves left scattered about on the bottom. Either way, it made very short work of a very dirty pool today. I feel a since of relief that it appears to be working as advertised.
Polaris Quattro Sport (P40) vs 3900 Sport (P39)
Which do you think is better? The premium Polaris 3900 sport (P39) or the Polaris Quattro Sport (P40)?
I believe it boils down to what you need it for and your budget. The P40 climbs and scrubs the walls to the pool waterline much better and overall has better coverage while the P39 costs less and cleans pool in an excellent fashion, it just lacks the wall scrubbing ability and some other unique features of the P40.
Polaris Quattro Sport vs P40
Remember, the Polaris P40 is the sister cleaner to the Polaris Quattro Sport and it is the first major update of the Polaris Pressure Side Cleaner in more than 40 years. Over the years, Polaris has made some significant designs to their Polaris by changing the drive from a drive shaft to a belt and then to a chain, but the basic 3-wheel design stayed the same. The Polaris P40 is a huge leap forward in Pressure Side Cleaners.

Polaris Sport (P40)
Here are some of the great new features of the P40:
Since it has rotating brushes that actively scrub and scour walls, floors, and the waterline —P40 penetrates deep to remove fine, stuck-on debris.
Aggressive Wall Climbing
P40 boasts 4WD agility, enabling unmatched climbing to ensure superior cleaning from floor to waterline.
It doesn’t matter what they are – sand, silt, leaves, the double-stage filtration system collects both fine particles and large debris.
Large Easy-Clean Debris Canister
The P40 substitutes the customary filter bag with a large capacity easy-clean debris canister and transparent window – letting users to see when the canister is full, so they can simply take out, shake, and spray the canister clean.
It’s innovative navigational tech makes it fast, efficient and lets it completely cover the entire pool.
I believe the Polaris P40 is a combination of Polaris/Zodiac technology, a robotic pool cleaner and a canister debris chamber of the MX-8 Elite cleaner.
