To reset the water filter indicator, you need to find the buttons on your screen that control the filter indicator. As soon as the light changes, press and hold the button or buttons until the light turns off.
The light is usually blue. The light on the dispenser changes color after 6 months or when about 400 gallons pass through it. Will turn purple or red.
There is no need to change the filter if the indicator light changes, but the ice production or water pressure from the dispenser is still working properly, so there is no need to do that.
As long as this is the case, all you need to do is press and hold the button that says “Hold 3 sec for reset filter.”

Make sure that you don’t have to do anything to the indicator light if it’s already off or blue!
Starting in 2010, the filter indicator light doesn’t come on until 6 months have passed, or 400 gallons of water have been pumped out of the machine.
Water filter indicator lights can be turned off and back on again by following the steps below.
Find the button on your display panel with the words “Hold 3 sec for filter reset” written on it.
Then press it.
On the control panel, look for the Alarm button. You can find it on the left side of the control panel. It is the middle button.
Hold down the button until the light goes out (approximately 5 seconds).
It’s time to reset the water filter indicator.
It doesn’t matter if there is enough ice or water pressure if the light is on.
As ice production and water pressure start to slow down, the filter should be changed, so just keep that in mind!
